About Dimitris

He was born in Athens on March 12, 1981. Son of Philaretos and Kiki and younger brother of Nikos, raised in a house of refugee origin and in a neighborhood of Perissos, with the memories of the first years having something of the character of older Greece through the eyes of the then elderly. Very soon painting and music will help him to know himself better as well as everything that happens around him. Despite this, his first serious contact with art will not be music, but the art of making jewelry introduced to his father's work with the workshop being installed in the basement of the house. After entering the game of sounds from a very young age, at the age of 11 he will meet the guitar that will accompany him for the rest of the years, and will be the occasion for his musical journey. Then, the more he found a reason for existence in music, the more he distanced himself from his student obligations. Until the age of 15, not knowing notes and playing the basics as a self-taught, he plays his own musical phrases or reproduces melodies he likes to hear. Making the decision to attend music lessons, he realizes that for every new note he learns, he simultaneously writes one of his own on the adjacent piece of paper. Soon from the messenger of other musical works, he becomes the creator himself. Having decided to be active exclusively in this area, he will participate in various musical groups, knowing repertoires of various musical points of view. He will also teach music as a doctrine through schools - conservatories and various centers of artistic - visual learning. At some point, however, he decides to leave behind the increasingly unpleasant working conditions around music as well as paid teaching, and in search of deeper meanings around art and the world, he will close himself off entirely devoted to creation. What were until now guests in his daily life, will now become his permanent companions in life. He constantly writes music, poetry, essays... he makes sure that even his thinking through the endless hours of solitude has a creative role. Since then, his musical works, whether small or large - whether they are adapted for one instrument or for several - whether they are songs or orchestral music... will always be a daily effort to express and communicate with the "outside" world. A relationship of conflict of passion and eroticism.
